The Foundation for Industrial Development Thai-German Institute (TGI), Mobile Innovation Corporation (MI), and NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on September 27th, and have officially concluded a cooperative relationship (hereinafter referred to as “this collaboration”). The agreement represents an important step in advancing Thailand’s industrial sector through state-of-the-art robotics and production automation technology.

The MOU is a common commitment to promote the growth of IoT and AI technologies in the Thai industry.

1. Purpose of this collaboration

In this collaboration, we are aiming to support the “IoT & AI production line analysis project”, and the main objectives are as follows.

• Technological advancement: Promoting and supporting the expansion of the integration of IoT and AI technologies focused on Thailand’s industrial sector

• Establishment of a Core Working Group: TGI Establishes a Dedicated Team to Help TGI Be at the forefront of technological progress

• Knowledge Transfer Hub: A hub that disseminates knowledge of IoT and AI technologies related to production processes
• Educational initiatives: Implementation of educational activities such as seminars and workshops aimed at transmitting expertise to industry and educational institutions

2. Roles of companies

■ TGI

• Development and maintenance of smart factory rooms
• Dedicated staff to design and implement teaching materials and maintenance and educational content that meets the needs of industrial entrepreneurs in cooperation with MI
• Promoting training, seminars, and consulting as part of the IoT & AI Production Line Analysis Project

■ MI

• Free training courses and technical training
• Provision of equipment, tools, and teaching materials necessary for cooperation
• Joint implementation of training and educational activities in line with the objectives of the project

■NTT Com

• Provision of exhibition items, teaching materials and services
• Support for this initiative’s activities (exhibition/training/seminar/consulting)
• Promoting understanding of the service content

The partnership will make significant progress in Thailand’s industrial sector towards modernization and outstanding technology. The partnership of the three companies will be a unified effort to further automate the work in Thailand and to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in an advanced industrial environment.

The Foundation for Industrial Development Thai-German Institute (TGI)

The Thai-German Institute (TGI) is under the supervision of the Foundation for Industrial Development (FID) and is an organization under extensive supervision of the Ministry of Industry. TGI aims to be an effective technology center for transferring advanced manufacturing technology to the Thai industry through various services such as training, seminars, consulting, material testing, and industrial jobs.
